Clarification

Home > Pastor's Blog > Clarification

Having ended this topic the way I did, I must clarify the last statement I made. “Let God be true and every man a liar” In this topic, http://www.thankstocalvary.com/2010/08/importance-of-knowing-the-gospel/

The word is not saying that men are liars. What the Bible is really saying is that God’s word is truth, outside of that there is very little truth. We have to accept the word and not put out own interpretation to it. While I have said what the Bible says, there is need for corrections, because the same word was written; was written for our learning, for our reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16) I feel today that if ever there was a day when things need to be corrected it is today and I firmly believe, there is a great need for correction and make no mistake, reproof.

I see a lot of things on television that don’t line up with the word of God, I will go out on a limb if necessary to declare the truth and for people who accept, such things, to be careful, line things up with the word. What I say in writing, line it up with the word, if it don’t qualify, throw it out.

I see on many occasions, people professing to operate in the word of knowledge. While I believe in the nine gifts of the spirit as recorded in 1 Corinthians Chapter 12. Now just think, if I was to say right now that there is someone right now with a heart problem or any problem, sickness, etc. I’m sure that there is someone in millions of people that has any problem that you can name in a book, someone has it. The Holy Spirit does not generalize over such a wide scope, for instance, from my own experience, and I have operated in some of the gifts through the years, periodically.

Now to say what I was going to say. I was in a service one night. The Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said there is someone sick here tonight and needs prayer. Do you know there was seven people that came for prayer, but the one that the Lord told me was not among the seven. I knew who it was, and I would not pray until the one that the Lord showed me came up. That is just to let the readers of this know, we have to be very careful what we see, hear and accept.

It would be wrong for me to get on this website and name people who I know is gone astray on the word; that would be in (my opinion) an act of discrimination, but in future, I may write in some way, or maybe already has, but I will declare the whole counsel of God. I’m not saying I know everything, but what I say will not be what I think, it is what I know.

I refuse, and we dare not say when it comes to the word of God, “well this is my opinion” One cannot make it into Heaven on someone’s opinion. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh to me unless the spirit draws him. Don’t consider this has a sermonette, I just put this in between of what I have said and what, in the future, what I will be saying if the Lord should tarry. Jesus classed some of the religious sect of His day a generation of vipers. In Matthew 23:13. Jesus pronounced woes again on the professing people of His day.

Don’t forget, these “woes” still stand on such people.
