The Lost Word (Part 2)

Home > Pastor's Blog > The Lost Word (Part 2)

It’s been a little while now since I wrote my last sermonette. I said I would probably continue so I will. Some may criticize me, some may say he’s just being someone who thinks he knows it all. No, it doesn’t matter what you think, I will speak the truth and tell it like it is.

I try not to be personal, I’m generalizing it. I’m not coming against, I’m just saying it as it is. Just to let you know, when I was writing the last one, one particular place I had three or four lines written when the Holy Spirit checked me, and would not allow me to put it the way I had it.

The devil today doesn’t mind one bit what’s said but don’t use too much of the word. Paul said in Acts chapter 20 verse 29: “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock” Now I wonder what happened to the wolves, did they all get shot ? Come on church, it’s time to expose the wolves in sheeps clothing. If you don’t get bit by one of them you just could get trapped.

There are quite a lot of different religious beliefs across our world, but believe it or not they are not all proclaiming the word of God. They are putting forth words but not words that they receive from the Lord. Yes they use scriptures, so did the devil when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness.

Someone may say, “you are gone a bit too far,” I may even go further yet. Someone may say, “you set yourself up to judge,” oh no, I just believe what the word of God teaches and only the true church and not a denomination will stand.

The prophet Jeremiah said, “and the word of the Lord came unto me saying” and he went on to say what the Lord had told him to say whether or not it pleased the people. Where is the word of the Lord ? I’m not saying and I dare not say that there isn’t anyone receiving a word from the Lord, but believe me, I know when someone comes with a word from the Lord.

The Bible says that there would be a famine not for bread or water, but for a hearing of the word of the Lord. The greater part that we are hearing spoken is coming from the new age philosophy and a lot that is written. Some time ago, someone said the Holy Spirit had given them 7 messages to preach, on the radio that was. Only to recognize they were reading them out of a book that someone else had written. I’m well aware that someone could raise and debate this one but you have a right to do so.

If I quote what Jeremiah said for some reason or what is in Holy writing, that’s a different story, but if I quote what someone else said, it’s not direct from the throne room. I have said before, we have good preachers, good books and as good as they my be, if I use some of their quotes don’t attribute to receiving it from God. I believe the word of God is lost amongst so much rubbish, get the rubbish out and the word of the Lord may come to the surface.

In fact, I do know some today that have received word from the Lord, but the enemy, up to this point, hath hindered but eventually it will overrule. Someone may say, “satan can’t hinder the word.” Oh yes, he can, read Daniel, read Acts of the Apostles. Paul said, “I would have come unto you (but who) Satan hindered. You can be sure the devil don’t want the truth to get out, because it will set men and woman free.

Last thought too leave you on. Why is it today that it’s so hard to get a conversation on the word ? I’ve known people to clam right up when you try to make a conversation on the word. They can talk about everything else, but they can’t find the word.

Paul told Timothy, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workmen that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
