Time to Consider – Time to Reason (Part 2)
Home > Pastor's Blog > Time to Consider – Time to Reason (Part 2)It is sad indeed when Gods people do not recognize their creator. When people that God once called out and they do not recognize the Holy Spirit, they just go on doing their thing, trying to justify their wrong.
Isaiah 28:20 “For the bed is shorter than that a man can stretch himself on it: and the covering narrower than that he can wrap himself in it.” No matter what you try to do, some part of you will be exposed. There is only one covering. Isaiah in addressing the children of Judah and Jerusalem, told them of their sin and where they had gone wrong and he exhorted them to stop the way they were going. He even stated in verse 15 chapter 1, that God did not hear them.
Wherefore he told them (listen) to wash – verse 16 and put away their evil doings before the eyes of the all seeing God.- verse 17 “Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow.” Then when you have done what I have told you saith God, then come let us reason together. I am ready now when you are ready, when you get on talking terms with me I’ll reason with you. Not only will God reason with mankind, He will pardon, forgive their wrong doing, cleanse, make whole, purify, make clean, not a blemish of sin, not a stain according to Isaiah chapter 1 verse 18.
I have discovered for long ago that very few people today wants to reason or to discuss anything pertaining to the word. It somewhat amazes me that very few even want to fellowship around the word of God. It’s not a matter who’s right or who’s wrong, the word of God will stand out, and be right every time.
If you go back to Genesis, you will discover that God came down in the garden in the evening and communed with Adam until Adam sinned. What did they do ? They tried to hide, they tried to find a covering. They lost contact with their creator. God had to shed blood to make a covering for them.
I know that the remedy of sin was accomplished or took place at Calvary, while the way into Gods presence was made accessible through that sacrifice, yet man is still man and living in disobedience to God.
Hebrews 2:1-3 “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip” “For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward;” “How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;”
If God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them out or down to hell (2nd Peter 2:4), tell me friend, what chance do we have if we obey not Gods word ? I’m not really talking about the world Isaiah the prophet was talking to Gods chosen people, they went astray, followed after other things that God did not want them to do.
How can you allow things of the world come in. Many times I have seen how God through the Holy Spirit have wanted to do a work and people have failed to recognize what God was trying to do.
Back to Isaiah 1:3. “My people do not consider” That’s why He said come let us reason this out. Friend, I’m just not doing this for a hobby, I mean, and am serious in what I am writing. It’s no time to play Church. Jesus is soon coming, time to put the world aside and anything that looks like it.
Keep tuned in.
