I’m taking the scripture from Matthew chapter 10 verse 16. “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves”. Someone may say, “what are you trying to say?”. This verse of scripture came forth by the Holy Ghost on February 1966 when I and my fellow companion in Christ received a direct call from God to go into Ministry. Although, we knew before somewhat, but it was confirmed in public that it was to be so.

Now I was going to go this way some time ago but I was stopped at that time from doing so. You may say, is it right to expose the wolves. Well lets put it this way, a sheep knows a wolf, make no mistake they do. You can dress up and look like a sheep but you have the smell of a wolf and don’t act like a sheep. Having said that, Jesus said, as sheep in the midst of wolves. Then if you go to Acts of the Apostles chapter 20 verse 29, Paul said, I know this that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Please take note, remember the church was only in it;s infancy and there they were, I would say that some two thousand years later they are running in packs, the wolves I mean.
The last entry I made was “blurred vision” and I believe that this can surly tie in with it. I believe the church, I’m not talking about a religious group, I’m talking about “The Church” should and is able to see the wolf, although sometimes they look so much like the sheep. It’s hard to detect them yet by the aid of the Holy Spirit we can do so. Jesus said in St. John’s Gospel chapter 10 verse 5, “And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” This has been proven.

Sheep among wolves, or wolves among sheep, the same in some sense but not really. Some would dare to say that what Jesus was talking about was the born again believer out in a world of sin and among the ungodly but Paul put it in another was as wolves coming in among the sheep. So therefore the both of it is right. Without getting to dogmatic on the subject, whatever you say the wolves are among the sheep and what makes it so deceptive is that they are so dressed up that some of them look like sheep and I would like to clarify the statement, I just made. When I said “dressed up” I’m not referring to a particular church or group I’m speaking in general terms.

So many times I hear the statement made, “Well you know they believe there is a God”. The Bible says that the devil believes there is a God and he fears and trembles. Believing there is a God does not justify anyone or anything. If that was so, the devil would have been saved for long ago. There is so much done today in the name of Religion and in the name of God and God has got nothing to do with it. This stirs up my righteous indignation and makes me spiritually sick.
Listen friend, soon I believe the Antichrist will appear on the scene and the Bible says that he is going to come with all deceivableness and lying wonders and would deceive the very elect if it were possible, but that is not possible. He will look and appear so nice just like a sheep but be aware when he shows his teeth.

There is a Religious movement which is made up of different religious groups, this is nothing but a body of people who are setting the stage for the incoming of the false prophet and the Antichrist. I said earlier I wouldn’t doubt but they are running in packs. Pull on their coats, you’ll soon find out if it’s wool or hair. A true sheep don’t make much noise even when it is brought to the slaughter house or is ill treated.
You can be sure, the wolves are around and watching for any lame or feeble ones to devour. You may not be aware but I speak as I know and not as I think. I know from experience what it’s like to be attacked by wolves, spiritually I mean. I have been in among them, I’ve seen them devour innocent sheep. Someone may say, you are judgmental, no I’m not. I have no right to judge anyone. The Bible states, if it is for real and I thank God that my spiritual eyesight is very good and I know a wolf when I see one.

When churches close their door, when church pews are empty, and very few people turn up for fellowship, it tells me that the wolves got in and scattered the flock and they are not sure whether or not they should go there again because they, the sheep I mean, don’t like to be prayed upon. Jesus never said all that ever came before me are sheep, no He said all that ever came before me are thieves and robbers. Somebody to try and steal or to rob something that is precious to them. The problem today in a lot of cases, people don’t want to hear the truth. Read 2nd Timothy 4:3.

When you take your stand for what the Word of God says and not a man pleaser, you’ll find out where the wolves are. You know wolves howl mostly in the night when they let the surrounding friendly wolves that there is pray around and they want them to share or if there is danger they also warn their friends that danger is near. I’m talking about those friendly spiritual wolves.

Please take note, Paul said in 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 that the day would come when many would depart from the faith and some use that today to reconcile the empty pews in churches. There can be some truth in that as well but please don’t use that as the only cause. Paul also said what they would do, they would take unto themselves teachers having itchy ears and listen to fables and doctrines of devils. Very distinguishable , they will take unto themselves and group together and I guess you could say from packs as is known as cults. But in reference to my topic, Paul said these kind would scatter the flock, scatter them from the place where they should be fed. You talk about division in the church, there should not be division, they should be provision where the sheep can find pasture and feed on the Word and from the Word and not from some fairy tales or fables.

I know what Jesus said in John chapter 10. He said, He was the good Sheppard and on and on but yet He has given what we turn a under Sheppard to care for and feed the flock. If a Sheppard or Pastor has got to turn to Hollywood or adopt something that came from it to fill space, I don’t wonder why there’s a lot of empty pews whens it’s over.

If ever there was a day in the history of the Church when we need something from the throne room of God, it is today and the only way to get this is by Pastors, preachers, to get in their closets and receive. You won’t get something from the throne room if you maintain your stay in the computer room. I’m not saying that everything is wrong what’s on computer. If that was so I just as well stop writing. I”m just using this means to get out what I have on my heart and let the world know a few simple facts.

What I”m saying is, this don’t go to your computer and see what Brother Langdon has for me that I can use Sunday morning. What I say is very well the truth but may never be what your congregation needs on Sunday morning or what some sinner needs on a Sunday night service. Preacher, if you haven’t got some message from Heaven or there’s not some content within that message that tells me that you spent some time during the week seeking God, then I have a right to question what kind of “clothing” you wear or what is inside of that “clothing”.

I know that sometimes I sound negative, so did Jeremiah. They even put him in a pit for awhile but he survived it because he did what God wanted him to do and said what God wanted him to say. I know there are people out there who are speaking the truth, I would be naive to think otherwise. You know to sum it all up, when you really think of what Jesus said and what Paul said, there isn’t much trouble at all in the natural to distinguish a sheep from a wolf. A wolf has a long bushy tail, a long pointed face and ears that sort or stick up. So what Jesus and Paul was really saying, that these wolves would take unto themselves somewhat the characteristics of the sheep so that way they could get in among them and scatter them, a tactic that the enemy would use to destroy if possible. Oh my!, them grievous wolves.

In closing I would like to refer to Philippians chapter 3 verse 18. Paul said, “For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the Cross of Christ.”

I want you to go with me for a moment to St Mark’s Gospel 8:24, where a blind man came to Jesus, that he might receive his sight. The Bible says that Jesus spat on his eyes and put His hands on him and asked him what he saw. The man replied, I see men as trees walking, he had what we would say, blurred vision, no able to see clearly until Jesus touched him again. So often, so many people have said to me, I really don’t see it for some reason, they haven’t got a clear understanding of what is being said or done.

Let’s take a little glance at 2nd Kings chapter 6. We note there that the King of Syria was at war against Israel but they could not trap them because by word of knowledge, God let Elisha know where the Syrian were encamped, thus Israel escaped from them. It’s a bit of a long story but the King of Syria found out who was letting the King know their whereabouts, so the King of Syria sent out his army to look for Elisha and this is where we come to when Elisha had risen up to go the whole city was surrounded by the Syrian army, but Elisha saw beyond the Syrian army but his servants vision was a bit blurred. He could only see the enemy until Elisha prayed and said, Lord, open the young man’s eyes. When the young man looked again he saw: Verse 17 chapter 6, (last part) and behold the mountain was full of houses and chariots of fire round about Elisha. The Bible says the angels of the Lord encamp round about them. Don’t let us allow our vision to be blurred by the things that we see around us, Hebrews chapter 12 verse 1-2. Wherefore seeing we are compassed about with so great a could of witnesses, referring to chapter 11, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily beset us, let us run the race that is set before us.

Looking where verse 2 unto Jesus when we look to Him the things of earth will go dim and we will see clearly. I’ve said so many times before, there is so much to be said, when it comes to the word of God. Just recently a verse of scripture came to me. Proverbs chapter 4 verse 25-27. This come to me and at that time I did not have in mind to write on this: verse 25, let thine eyes look right on and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. 26) Ponder the path of thy feet and let all thy ways be established 27)Turn not to the right or to the left, remove thy feet from evil. Oh there is so much right now, there is so much coming I really don’t know when I’ll stop.
Psalms 119–105 David said, thy word is a lamp unto my feet and light unto my path.
Psalms 119–130 The entrance of thy word giveth light, it giveth understanding to the simple.

Read Ephesians 1-18. Paul said that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened that you may know what is the hope of His calling and what the riches of His glory of His inheritance of the saints.

Friend, it’s no need to stumble, we are children of the day and not of the night, we should see very clearly where we are going. Listen friend, if you can’t see clearly, I mean in the spiritual sense, just read Revelation chapter 3 verse 18. I’d like to elaborate awhile on that one. Look unto the word of God and allow God through the Holy Spirit to enlighten you to see what you should see and I’m sure it won’t be cloudy. Walk in the light as He is in the light.

Listen friend, let not your spiritual vision be blurred by what you see in the natural, look to the one who sees all things, knows all things and giveth and giveth and giveth again. The bible says that if the blind lead the blind they will both fall in the ditch together. The ditches are just about full, be careful where you walk and who’s leading.

I’m not a person to put tithes to sermonettes as such but I guess it’s ok. My thoughts for the past few days have somewhat been focused on the Light.

Jesus said, I am the light in Johns Gospel. John referred to Him, that is Jesus, verse 9 of chapter 1 that He was the true light that lighteth every man that cometh into the world, because He was the creator of the light. When God spoke, quoting from Genesis chapter 1 verse 3, God said, let there be light and there was light. Jesus was that word that was spoken. John tells us in the beginning was the word, the word was God and the same was in the beginning with God. The Bible says and the word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us.

St. Lukes Gospel, chapter 23 verse 44 tells us that just before Jesus gave up the Ghost, there was darkness for the space of three hours. Make no wonder, because the giver of light, the giver of life, was drawing His last breath. He that is Jesus was to die. I’m not sure, there is no scripture to say, but I’m convinced that the three days represented the three days that the true light that lighteth every man would be out for awhile. Make no wonder the earth quaked and shook, the sun refused to shine, look what was happening.

I can’t imagine what was transacting in the temple. I wish I could have seen the look on the high priests’ face when he heard the rent and looked and saw the Vail of the temple torn from the top to the bottom. Oh praise God he opened up the way into the presence of God that we might obtain mercy and find grace in the time of need. I can’t imagine, I won’t even try to. It was at the time of the evening sacrifice that the priest went in to offer up the sacrifice for the people. Little did he know or realized that the Lamb of God was being sacrificed on an old rugged cross outside of the temple. No more ritual, no more bondage, all bondage to be broken, men and women set free by the sacrifice on the cross.

Isaiah referred to it in chapter 60 verse 2. The darkness shall cover the earth and gross darkness the people. Yet there well be another time of darkness, Isaiah 13:10, For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth and the moon shall not cause her light to shine. This will happen because man refused to accept the true light, the light of the glorious gopsel of Jesus Christ, the whole earth shall mourn. (Matthew 24:30)

Read Revelation chapter 6 verse 12-14 which gives an account of the events that would follow the opening of the 6th seal, as the judgements of God are being poured out because they would not accept the true light.

When the light went out that day when Jesus died on the cross meant that a greater light would shine forth. Isaiah said, a light to lighten the gentiles and they that sat in darkness meaning the gentile nations saw a great light. The Bible says that man refuse to come to that light lest their deeds be known. Man loves darkness rather then light because their deeds are evil. Although, the light went out that day for the space of three hours, yet that Light has been shining every since.

You may take things lightly, someone may read this but listen. Give ear, those that do not accept Christ as the true light will be cast in an outer darkness where the light will never penetrate.

Because of the fact I passed the outer court, I have been in the presence of the Lord. I will go in Isaiah 53 a little more because I felt I did not do justice to it in the last part. In verse 2, Isaiah said he shall grow up as a tender plant and as a root out of dry ground.

A tender plant is a plant that you can not rough handle, you have to be very careful how you treat it. You can not uproot it or disturb it. If you look at the word tender, quick to feel compassion or affection, etc. There is no mistake that is the truth and nothing but the truth. Jesus was exactly what Isaiah the prophet said he was. The prophet goes on to say in verse 3, He is despised and rejected of men, a man of sorrows and appointed with grief.

No doubt he saw the grief, the sorrow, the disappointment that came mans way and we have some accounts in Holy writing. At the grave of Lazarus he wept. Luke 7:14 tells us that one day he was witness to the funeral of a young man, the only son of a widow woman, he was touched with compassion, reached out stopped the funeral and raised the widows son and gave him back to his mother. Oh, hallelujah oh what a saviour! He was despised, they spat upon Him, they smote Him. He was only recognized as the carpenter, Marys son or the son of Joseph. They did not believe He was the saviour, the redeemer yet Isaiah plainly describes Him. I do not wonder why he said who hath believed our report.

I quote Isaiah again, Isaiah 53:5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Now the greater part of people who believe in the death and suffering of Jesus, can believe the first part of that scripture but has a problem with the last part. Now I could elaborate on all that verse but I will go to the last part. The Bible says with His stripes we are healed. 1st Peter 2:4 says by His stripes we were healed, it is not a matter of if it is Gods will, because it is His will because He said in John, I would that you prosper and be in health even as your soul.

You may ask the question, here especially in Newfoundland, why are we not seeing miracles, healing, etc.? I can tell you why. But the fact is Jesus bore the stripes on His back before he went to Calvary because he bore the pain of the forty stripes that was laid upon Him. Oh yes friend, he bore our sickness, just as sure has he bore our sins.

Do you mean to tell me that Jesus the Son of God took 40 lashes on His back for nothing? Oh no friend, he bore it all for you and me. I will put it simple, if someone do not get saved or born again, whatever term you may use, does that make the sacrifice that He made on Calvary void? No a thousand times no, just think about it.

Mark chapter 2 verse 1. Here we find that Jesus had gone to Capernaum, apparently this wasn’t the first time and He entered into a house. It do not specify what house it was but the fact was the people knew that He had gone into this house but the Bible says, verse 1, that it was noised abroad, that He was in the house. Just think or pause for a minute. No phones, no internet, no face book, yet according to verse 2 it was only a short time when they had a full house. Now it doesn’t say how big the house was but that is not important, the thing was that when people knew that Jesus was somewhere in close vicinity, it wasn’t long before a lot of people knew it and made sure they got there as soon as possible. They didn’t want to miss anything because when Jesus showed up surely something spectacular would happen and it sure did. The Bible says that there was a man sick of the palsy. His four friends was so much concerned for him that they brought him to the house only to find they couldn’t get in. So what do you know, they got upon the roof and cut a hole and let the poor man down where Jesus was and when Jesus saw their faith he had no other choice but to heal the sick man. Look what can happen when things are noised abroad.

Lets go to Acts chapter 2. Take note, there were about one hundred twenty according to Acts chapter 1 verse 15. Now, a question cam to me, but of course I know the answer to this one. I just comment for a minute before I proceed to the topic. The apostles were among the 120. Jesus had already called them, they in particular were already followers of Jesus, Jesus had already breathed on them, John 20:22 and said receive ye the Holy Ghost. Again, He breathed on them and sent them forth, but yet the Holy Ghost had not yet descended. Then again, if they had already attained onto salvation and that was a one experience, then what in the world were they doing in the upper room for 10 days ? However, they were doing what the Lord had commanded. They weren’t in some seminar, or undergoing some training technique, they were waiting to be empowered by the Holy Spirit. After ten days, it really happened (Acts chapter 2) then verse 6 tells us that when it was noised abroad again you see there was a crowd of people gathered together, a great multitude according to scripture. Why ? because something happened in an upper room or a house. The news soon spread, oh if only they had television, phones, computers, movies etc… what a great crowd they would have had.

Listen friend, it was the Holy Ghost that drew the people that day and the result was three thousand souls found salvation but there is something else, the Bible says, Acts 2:42-47, they continued in the apostles doctrine and fellowship and in prayers. So you see what can happen when things of God are proclaimed, they really weren’t concerned about starting a denominational church. Come on believers! Lets come together in one accord and allow God to move. While we are squabbling over issues that don’t mean to much, there are souls going to hell and we as Christians are so taken up in church attendance, church memberships, church affiliation. Let it be noised abroad! The church has one foundation. Let things happen and let it be noised abroad. Jesus is still alive, the presence of the Holy Ghost is still evident in the working of miracles, in healing the sick etc..

When these things according to Acts and Mark is noised abroad, we will see out little church fill up. I will inject this, while there maybe thousands who read this and in some cases see large crowds of people but where I live in Newfoundland, there is a lack of church attendance, for reasons that are very obvious. You don’t have to make that sacrifice to take down the denominational signs from your church, just accept members of the body of Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to work as He wants to work. I know what I’m saying, when things begin to happen and noised abroad, just imagine what would happen.

I’m going to take you to Matthew chapter 25 concerning the ten virgins, but first lets take a short time back, and have a look in Genesis chapter 7, then back to the previous chapter. When God told Noah to build a boat, or an ark because He said that He was going to destroy the earth with a flood. Now the bible says that up to that time, it had never rained, Genesis 2:5. I would assume that to a lot of people, when Noah said that God was to bring a flood, then it seemed, I would say, something of the impossible. Nevertheless, Noah did what God had told him to do, so he moved in faith according to Hebrews chapter 11. When Noah and his family went in and the animals, God shut the door and after seven days to the surprise of the people, down it came, rain I mean.

Now lets move on to Matthew chapter 25. Jesus said the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. He said, five were wise, five were foolish. They that were foolish took no oil but they that were wise took oil with them and the Bible says that while the bridegroom tarried they all went to sleep and when the cry went forth that the bridegroom was coming, they all arose. The five foolish ones discovered their lamps had gone out, they asked to borrow from those that had some but that was not to be so. The Bible says that while they went to buy, the bridegroom came and they that were ready went in and the door was shut.

You know, I’ve had that experience a few times in my life and I guess a lot more have had it too. One of the most disappointing experiences, that is under some circumstances, that a person can have is to go to a door and not be able to get in. It is truly a sad situation, especially if you know you maybe caught in a storm. Jesus told them and tells us through His word, watch ye therefore for ye know not the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. Jesus said, as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man. The bible says they knew not until the flood came and took them all away. There maybe some unsaved person reading this and I believe that the door will soon close again. The day of grace, the door of Gods mercy will soon close. Chances are getting fewer, opportunities are running out!

Time to enter in at the straight gate. I feel like quoting Revelation 22:11. “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” It speaks to us loud and clear, that whatever state we are in when Jesus comes, that is it!

The message rings loud and clear, come into the ark, ere the sky grows dark. Storm clouds are gathering on the horizon, pointing to what is about to bring chaos upon this world, such as never was and never shall be again.

Friend, don’t miss the rapture. Will you be ready when Jesus comes ? Will you have the wedding garment on to go in to the marriage supper of the Lamb ? May you not find the door closed, it will be a sad and despairing situation to find yourself in. There is a way of escape, Jesus said, I am the door. He is the only way into the Kingdom of God.

Psalms 119:130
The entrance of thy words giveth light.

Job 32:8
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.

The greatest revelation and I would say, the next when Jesus comes to be glorified in His saints. He is our hope of glory. God does through the Holy Spirit give divine Revelations based on His word. The Bible says, eye hath not seen neither hath heard, the things that God hath in store for those that love Him, but God hath revealed them unto us by His spirit or enlighten us enough to understand what has already been written. The last revelation as such, was on the isle of Patmos when God gave to His son to pass on to His servant John. Revelation 1:1 – 1:18

There has been much said about the thief on the cross, so many times down through the years it has been quoted of how he made it in the dying moments of his life.

Folks, there was more to that then just making it the last moments of his life. Just stop and think for a moment on the surroundings. Here were three crosses two thieves and a just man, the saviour, the redeemer, but it does not end there. One thief said, if you be who you said you are, save thyself and us. The other thief replied, we are receiving out just recompense of reward, we stole, we robbed, we punish for what we did but this man did not do anything to deserve what he is getting. Turning to Jesus He said; (take note he addressed him as Lord) Lord remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. He had nothing else only a revelation from God. Here’s a man dying the same death, yet he is saying remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. He knew that Jesus would rise again and would some day set up an everlasting Kingdom.

When Jesus said to Peter, who do men say that I am, there was a mixed reply, but when He brought the question home and said to Peter, but who do you say that I am. Peter replied, thou art the Christ, the son of the Living God. Jesus said, flesh and blood hath not revealed this unto you but my Father which is in Heaven.

Somewhere along the line there was a possibility that the thief could have seen Jesus do some of the miracles that He did, which ever way He had to receive a revelation of who Jesus was. Once a man or a woman gets a real revelation of who Jesus was He will never be the same.

Jesus said to the Pharisees, you do search the scriptures for in so doing, you think you have eternal life, but He said in the volume of the book it is written about me. The more you get to know Jesus the more you will get from His word because He was and is the word. 1st John. What we need is a revelation of who Jesus is. He was the word, the word was made flesh and dwelt amongst us, the word of life. John said, which we have seen and handled.

When I’m about to finish I feel like going on but I don’t intend to let my readers get bored, there is more.

A bit on a personal note. From about 10am this morning until 7pm in the night around the dinner table the conversation was women, the cemetery, sickness, marriage, preachers, and most of the rest of the day, but nothing about the Lord of glory. How can you sing I am glad I know who Jesus is. Once you know who Jesus is you will not have much of a desire to talk about anything or anybody else. We sing lets talk about Jesus, shhh, not too loud. The church should be singing and saying I want to lift up the name of Jesus. Well I may have sounded somewhat contradicting, or controversial. Jesus was already revealed to the world, any revelation has to be based on the word or enlightenment by the spirit of God, because the spirit of God will not go outside the word.

When someone says they received a new revelation it better be based on the living word not on some thoughts that may enter the mind. We walk in the light as the light is revealed, if we walk outside the light of the word we walk in darkness.

While some may say and I have heard, we don’t know who’s right or who’s wrong. You are in a sad situation.

In the last sermonette I dealt with the second return of the Lord. I said that God has a plan and He has not changed His plan. He said Heaven and Earth will pass away but the word of the Lord abideth forever. He has given us enough to know what to do and how to do it. (1 John 2:26-28) (Chapter 5 verse

So the things that was written in the Bible is enough to let us know what is and that which is to come. God did not allow everything in detail to be written because if He did man could very well pin point the day in which the Lord would come. So say some try to use every little incident that happens in the world to try and bring it in line with prophecy but that is not so.

Man has tried many times to set times and days but Jesus said that only the Father knows not even the angels in Heaven knows when Christ shall come. The most important thin is not when He will come, the most important is to be ready when He does come. He said, be ye also ready for a hour that ye think not the son of man cometh. (Matthew 25:1-12) Jesus gave forth the parable of the ten virgins, only those that were ready went in then the door was shut.

Luke 12:25 tells us it’s too late when the door is shut, the day of grace is over, finished, come to an end. While God have dealt with this generation of the age of grace longer then He ever dealt with man in any other dispensation. For over two thousand years God has reached down in love, mercy, patience, long suffering; not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. Someone may say, will God send anyone to Hell, many will go to a lost eternity without God because He has rejected the plan that God has set forth in His word. There is going to be a shaking.

Hebrews 12:27
The only things that will remain is the thing that cannot be shaken. I don’t wonder why they use to sing years ago on Christ the solid rock I stand. All other ground is sinking sand. His oath, His covenant, His blood is the only thing that will keep us when the shaking starts. I’m glad I’m on the firm foundation, Jesus Christ. There is a place of safety, there is a refuge for the soul, there is peace in the midst of the storm.

Proverbs 18:10
The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run into it and they are safe.

Psalms 9:17
The wicked shall be turned into Hell, and all the nations that forget God.

I would like to continue on for a little bit further in the purpose and work of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus had told them as recorded in the book of Acts: 1-8, Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; power to witness to all the world of the wonderful grace of God.

Mark Chapter 16 known as the great commission. Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel. Verse 17, these signs shall follow them that believe, In my name they shall cast out devils and shall speak with new tongues. Verse 18, They shall take up serpents and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. That is the work of the Holy Spirit in the lives of the believer.

I’d like to inject here that this working of the Holy Spirit does not come in the collection plate.

1 Peter 1:18
We are not redeemed with corruptible things such as silver or gold, but with precious blood of Jesus. When Peter and John went up to the temple to pray, Acts Chapter 3; the man at the gate ask for alms. Peter fastening his eyes upon him said, silver and gold have we none but in the name of Jesus rise up and walk.

The Holy Spirit was given to equip the church, the church with Power and authority to finish the work that Jesus came for to do, that is to destroy the works of the devil. Let the Power of the Holy Spirit be manifested and you will soon find out how many devils are at work and where they are at, just recently I found that out. With all due respect to the medical department, yet they have a medical name put on a lot of them; Jesus called them by name.

Someone might say, you are gone a little off track in this area, Oh no! The church has been given the authority; Jesus said I will give you power over the power of the enemy which is the devil and all his imps. Jesus said, the thief commeth for to kill and destroy, but I am come that ye might have life, and more abundantly.

My friends, the Apostles never had time to attend to the affairs of the community, they had to give themselves over to prayer and fasting and to the word, that they might excel in that which God had called them to do. Paul said the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God, or the Holy Spirit to pulling down of strongholds. You can’t pull down the strongholds of satan in the flesh or with natural means.

Jesus said, Matthew 12:29, You don’t enter in a strong mans house to spoil his goods except you first bind the strong man; church it’s time to rise up in the Power and authority given us by the Holy Spirit. You can’t win a community that’s bound by the unseen forces by indulging in community activities. You have to allow the Holy Spirit’s Power to operate in the manner it was designed by God in the beginning.

Paul said, it’s according to the Power that worketh in us.

Some of these things can only come about by prayer and fasting and allow the same Holy Ghost that worked in the Apostles to so the same now.

To finish I’m not saying there hasn’t been anything since the apostles, I’m saying this, that this generation needs to see the Power of God at work.

The fact that Jesus is still alive; the witness was evident, He was seen of the twelve. (Acts 1:3) He showed Himself alive after His Passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them (that is the disciples) forty days, speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.

Will I am fully aware I have only been touching base on these things pertaining to the Gospel, and the man of Galilee. I have discovered for long ago that no matter what you say; how much you try to put things together; one cannot, will not, never ever, exhaust the word.

(John 21:25) and there are also many things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written everyone; I suppose that even the world could not contain the books that should be written. I believe that there is enough to be said and proclaimed, without people having to use a psychological platform to try to win people to Christ or introduce them to the Gospel. I don’t believe that people should have to be introduced to something from Hollywood to try and solve their problems. If the word which is supposed to be effective, if that don’t do it then I would question the authority of Hollywood.

When the centurion came to Jesus, (Luke Chapter 7). When Jesus said I will come and heal his servant. He said to Jesus, I’m a man under authority, I say to one come and he commeth, to another go, and he goeth. He recognized Jesus had authority so he said speak the word only and my servant shall be healed. There is that divine authority that was given the church on the day of Pentecost and when that authority is used in it’s proper perspective, something has got to happen. We have many accounts in the book of Acts and down through the church age. The lame have been made to walk, blind eyes open, deaf ears unstopped, limbs straightened, Yes, I’ve seen it myself!

Luke gives an account that the power of God was present to heal. When the man of Galilee shows up you can be sure He doesn’t show up for nothing, but many times we miss the real purpose, many leave like they came, say we had a good service and miss what Jesus had for them. I know through experience this is mot guess work.

When God manifests His presence we should not rush and just think this is another good time. The Holy Spirit was not given for people to have a good time; even though in the presence of God we can sure feel good but don’t mistake the feel good for a move of God.

I guess I’ll have to close off this one because I have a hard time writing. I rather be speaking it out. Next time I will follow up on the Holy Spirit, it’s work and purpose, in the earth as recorded in the word.
